Tithing is as Charitable as I Get - Alois Bell's Story

Folks, everyone knows that Jesus said to be yourself and f*** everyone else. That's the way I heard it - it was proclaimed in a sermon by Pastor Alois Bell from Truth in the World Deliverance Ministries (TWDM) located in St. Louis, Missouri. Pastor Bell reinforced this lesson recently after taking a large party to eat at a local Applebee's restaurant.
After the group had finished their meal and the check had been delivered, Alois showed how grateful she was for the great service she received - by refusing to tip her waitress AND then writing on the receipt that she only offered charity to God who was already taking 10% so she wasn't giving the waitress anything else!
Bell is right, charity should begin at home, and this girl was obviously slaving away at work, so she obviously was in the wrong place at the wrong time and Bell doesn't have time for beggars. The waitress, Chelsea Welch, then did the unthinkable - she posted a picture of the receipt with supposedly rude message written on it in order to show how much of an absolute ass clown Alois was!
At this point Alois could have listened to Jesus and turned the other cheek, she could have humbly asked for forgiveness from the poor girl that she slighted, but no, Alois knows the golden rule - "do unto others before they have the chance to do it to you, and if they do it to you first, smite the ever loving shit out of them!"
Alois claiming "to be extremely embarrassed' called Applebee's and "demanded [they] fire everyone involved." I agree Alois, I would be embarrassed to be associated with you too! Getting a girl fired, a girl who is only paid $2.85 an hour, is the morally correct thing to do! Alois Bell is just a humble servant of the Lord who can't be expected to be charitable to the poor!
The TWDM claims that they want to "make the world a better place," and what better way to do that than by stealing jobs from people so that they can become homeless and starve! This IS how they offer "deliverance to those need," they deliver people from their livelihoods!
Bell blames the incident as a "lapse in judgement on [her] part." Yeah, Alois, next time you have to remember not to sign your name to stuff like that!
Alois is just practicing what she preaches, she routinely tells her parishioners to pay their tithes instead of their rent because God will provide. Alois knows that saying stuff like that calms people down and makes them feel better about how shitty their lives are. She understands that the real message of the bible to make money, not give it away.
That's why all the capitalists I know claim to be Christian. Jesus actually gave away all that salted fish to those hungry beggars because he knew he could make a mint selling them something to wash it down with!
In this situation, one must ask "what WOULD Jesus do?" I'm pretty sure that he would send Alois straight to hell, directly to hell, without passing go, and without tipping $200...

  1. What a shame, the so called pastor blames her server for the applebees tip policy, doesn't tip the server. i wouldn't walk 5 feet to see her let alone listen to her preach. Her sermon this week will probably be corporate greed and 18% tip policies instead of help those less fortunate.

  2. Right on! You can always tell what type of person you are dealing with by their actions, not what they preach!!!!

  3. Unfortunately God is used to excuse many "People of cloth" to get out of paying their fair share like everyone else. I worked for a dry cleaner who was catholic and their priest use to come in and remind me everytime that he didn't pay taxes and he got a discount. Did I fail to mention he was driving a brand new Cadillac? People who contribute have to pay taxes on the money they donate, why not the recipiants?

  4. You Suck!!! Got a poor girl fired because of the practice of about every single restaurant. Exactly why I don't go to church. (People like you!) If you really feel bad call applebees and tell them to hire her back.

  5. "Pastor" huh? I like to tell the story about the convicted felon that I know, straight out of the pokey, signed up online and is now a "Pastor", he tehn signed up my sons ages 19 and 22 and they are "pastors"...

    signed, Pastor Jenn

  6. Here's another "Pastor" story - unfortunately also true. Just four miles from my home a "pastor" broke into a young mother's home, beat her senseless, strangled her to death, then took off all her clothes. Although, during questioning, he admitted he'd been having fantasies of raping her dead body for weeks (during which he was still preaching every Sunday), he claims he didn't remember what happened next until he drove a mile down the road and threw her naked body in a ditch. But hey, he has some conscious - he then went back to her home, dressed her three year old son, and took him to his fathers home. What a nice guy! Oh, and he was also engaged to the murdered woman's mother. Yeah, those Pastors certainly do set a godly example!

  7. What a miserable excuse for a human being this so called pastor is.

  8. The TWDM claims that they want to "make the world a better place," and what better way to do that than by stealing jobs from people so that they can become homeless and starve! This IS how they offer "deliverance to those need," they deliver people from their livelihoods!

I love that you brought up this fact!! Pastor Alois Bell wanted an entire shift of workers fired for this, something she started by writing on a receipt. Don't you remember where you came from, Pastor? You actively put someone on a path you have experience with, homelessness. Just about every person is 1-2 paychecks away from homelessness. And you wanted an entire shift of people fired. You wanted to put all those people on that path? For something you started, how are they responsible for your action of writing on that receipt?
It is my opinion that Alois Bell is just upset about being outed. Her hypocrisy exposed for the world to see. Your suppose to be a role model, teaching the next generation by example. Own what you did! Make it right. We, here behind our keyboards are modeling for you what should be done. People around the world are outraged! You didn't just go viral, you went Global! They are calling for a boycott of Applebee's if they don't hire Chelsea back. The Applebee's web server crashed. After the web server crashed, you couldn't get through on their customer service line... Woman up. Own what you did and make things right. Help get the girl you got fired, her job back. Hire her yourself. Don't let her go down that homeless path.

  9. I knew it! The moment I heard about this I said to myself, "Self, I hope you make time this weekend to do some blog reading because you just know you can count on one blogger to say something about this."

I believe it's somewhere in the book of Malachi where there is talk of taking your tithe and having a feast for your friends, family, and neighbors if you yourself are unable to go to the temple. Given that the temple was destroyed and Christ said that the body is the temple, there is not need to give a tithe to anyone but yourself.

See? This is what happens when I start reading the Bible because someone I know wants to read it with a non-Christian. I start remembering things about the books and how far removed so-called Christians are from the various teachings.

I'm fighting a cold. Any thoughts on what I should do about it? *sniffle*
